Covid-19: As Dutchess Cases Continue To Increase, Here's Latest Breakdown By Town

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Dutchess County continues to climb as the mid-Hudson Valley sees a surge in the spread of the virus.

According to the county Department of Health, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Dutchess has risen to 418, up from 292 earlier this week.

The number continues to climb, though it is a far cry from the peak of the outbreak in late April, when the county was dealing with 1,860 active cases at one point.

There have been 6,003 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the outbreak began in early March out of 245,044 tests administered in Dutchess. During the pandemic, there have been 173 virus-related deaths.

Twenty-three patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, up from 12 last week.

In the past week, the seven-day rolling infection rate in Dutchess has risen from 1.3 percent to 2.4 percent, while the two-week average has climbed from 1.2 percent to 1.9 percent.

  • Fishkill: 40;
  • East Fishkill: 27;
  • Poughkeepsie: 25;
  • Poughkeepsie City: 18;
  • Wappinger: 15;
  • Dover: 11;
  • Beacon City: 8;
  • Hyde Park:7;
  • Beekman: 7;
  • LaGrange: 7.

There are less than five COVID-19 cases in:

  • Amenia;
  • Clinton;
  • Dover;
  • Fishkill Village;
  • Milan;
  • Millbrook Village;
  • Millerton Village;
  • North East;
  • Pawling;
  • Pawling Village;
  • Pine Plains;
  • Pleasant Valley;
  • Red Hook;
  • Red Hook Village;
  • Rhinebeck;
  • Rhinebeck Village;
  • Stanford;
  • Tivoli Village;
  • Union Vale;
  • Wappingers Falls Village;
  • Washington.

There are currently 234 other active cases that are pending address confirmation.

Since the pandemic began, New York has administered 16,231,193 COVID-19 tests, with 545,762 testing positive. A total of 26,055 New Yorkers have died since mid-March.
